Color of Identity is a new, deeply introspective body of work exploring identity through the use of color. The intent of the series is to express my identity by using the meanings of individual colors which best represent my character.
For each color, several qualities were identified to capture my identity. Colors can mean different things to different people. As such, there is a subjective aspect to this work.
Each painting uses one color, with its various shades, to depict the traits (color and self.)
All eight paintings are 36" x 36" x 2.25" on Museum Profile, Heavyweight Cotton Canvas. Raw Pigment was used to compliment the oils to achieve a bold and vibrant finish. Sides are painted; each piece is ready to hang.
